CCSF 2012 Day 12: Desert Feral Run

Submitted by Kitty Tikara for C3/DS

Add some new Creatures to your world with these desert feral run survivors! The following are included:

Grendels (Four from Generations 21-22)
Plant Norns (Three from Generations 30-31)

Download the Desert Feral Creatures (406 KB RAR File)

From Kitty Tikara: "The Plant Norns require nothing but light and a little water to grow, so they were perfect for the desert. I'd never really used them for very much, but they turned out to be the most hardy of all the Creatures. The Metallophagus Grendels are there because the ones from the technological world were over populated and needed a new place to live."

IMPORTANT: The Plant Norns are required in order to view the sprites of these Norns correctly.

CCSF 2012 Day 11: Creatures 1 Grorns

Created by Jessica for C1 (Norn Breed)

It's a Norn! It's a Grendel! No: It's a Grorn! These Creatures 1 Grorns, originally thought up by Lis Morris, introduce Grendel body data and sprite files to Norn breed slot 9. In essence, this is the closest to inter-species breeding in C1! Grorns may be brought into a C1 world via the Genetics Kit. They include all of the updated Grendel files, available at Discover Albia.

Download the C1 Grorns (200 KB RAR File)

From Jessica: "There were several requests to bring my Grendel updates to a Grorn breed, so I am happy to release these! Please note that some body parts may not line up exactly, due to differences in Grendels and Norns. I'm working on some Norn updates, though..."

IMPORTANT: These body data and sprite files will overwrite any other breed currently in use in Norn breed slot 9. Please make sure to backup any files before installing. Grorns may look exactly like Grendels, but they will sound and act like Norns, in order for players to be able to breed Grorns with other Norns. Grorns will not be able to breed with Grendels. Body parts that do not line up perfectly should still function properly.

CCSF 2012 Day 10: Forest Feral Run

Submitted by Kitty Tikara for C3/DS

Enjoy adding some Norns and Grendels from a feral run to your world! Included in the download are the following:

CFE Norns (Five from Generations 17-20)
Maraquan Grendels (Two from Generations 8-10)

Download the Forest Feral Creatures (465 KB RAR File)

From Kitty Tikara: "The Norns are your basic CFE Norns, but they are just beginning to get some color mutations. The Grendels are the lovely Maraquan Grendels, which don't really fit a theme. They had color mutations from the start, which is cheating but they do look nice. Plus they are probably the lowest generation, because they don't breed that well."

CCSF 2012 Day 10: Colortrue Norns

Created by Ylukyun for C3/DS (Norn Breed)

If the Colortrue Ettins and Grendels weren't a big enough hint, the last species is now available: The Colortrue Norns! Now you can enjoy mixing colors with some of your favorite Norn breeds.

Download the Colortrue Norns (14 KB RAR File)

From Ylukyun: "These Norns are inspired by the Spice Norns and based on CFE no mutate Chichi Norns. They have pigment genes moved around, making their colors mix instead of being inherited. The pigment genes do not mutate, as this causes issues with loss of color over time, but you should be able to get a wide variety of colors without mutation. People are welcome to use these files as a base for creating new color varieties."

IMPORTANT: The Bondi Norn variety requires the Bondi Norn sprites to be viewed correctly. This download does not include any breed installers, nor sprites. Colortrue Norns should not be mixed with other breeds, as the offspring may be sliders or die. Muco will autokill when first injecting the agents and extracting the genome: For best results, hatch a Harlequin Colortrue Norn first before hatching any other color varieties.

CCSF 2012 Day 8: Aquatic World Feral Run

Submitted by Kitty Tikara for C3/DS

There is no better way to explore the depths of the aquatic regions in Creatures than with a group of water-dwelling Norns! This group of feral run Norns are accustomed to the water, and enjoy nothing more than swimming and splashing about! Please make sure to read the important information below, as these Norns come from breeds with sprite dependencies and special instructions. Enjoy spending time in the underwater realm of C3/DS with some adorable new additions! Included in the download are the following:

Gill Norns (Four from Generations 15-16)
Pearl Mermaid Norns (Five from Generations 9-10)

Download the Aquatic World Norns (504 KB RAR File)

From Kitty Tikara: "The Gill Norns have to be kept underwater at all times, or they die quickly. The Pearl Mermaid Norns can't retreat from Norns in the water and can't lay eggs on their own. They can swim, though! They had the color mutation from the beginning, and the Golden Desert sprites were added in later generations. Quick tip for keeping them happier: Have a lot of dummy portals, or just raise a pair at a time."

IMPORTANT: The Gill Norns and Pearl Mermaid Norns are required in order to view the sprites of these Norns correctly. Additionally, the Golden Desert Norn sprites should be installed.

CCSF 2012 Day 4: Fairyfloss Norns

Created by Generalflame for C3/DS (Norn Breed)

Enjoy the first brand new Norn breed of the CCSF 2012: The Fairyfloss Norns! Some may remember the Creatures Caves Preview posted not too long ago. This breed features unique purple coloring, stripes, and a generally adorable appearance! These Norns fit in perfectly among the flowers, and everywhere!

Download the Fairyfloss Norns (2.5 MB RAR File)

From Generalflame: "The only special thing about these Norns is the new sprites. They have basic DS CFE genetics and are unremarkable in every way except that they are purple and striped. In the case that anyone would like to use them as a base for another breed or play with their genetics, that is alright by me."

IMPORTANT: The Fairyfloss Norns use Norn Slot Z, which is used by the Pink Alba Norns. There is a known issue where the first few eggs hatched may appear as Dodgy Norns, though everything should be all set afterwards.
